History: The Parish registers date back to the year 1902. The present St. John’s Composite Junior College in Fort is the one shifted from its location in Cantonment when St. Pancras European School was closed down in 1935. In 1987 it was raised to the status of a Composite Junior College. The late Bishop Hogan took charge of the Parish and institutions in 1935 with Msgr. J. Pinto to assist him. Bishop Hogan gave independent charge of the institution to Msgr. J. Pinto and it continued till 1962. St. John’s Hostel was built in 1962. In 1968 the Parish and School were entrusted to the Jesuits who continued upto 1978 when the Diocese took over. The Church was remodeled in 1963 and once again in 1997. A new and beautiful Church was built by Fr. O. Vincent in the year 2004. He also completed a spacious boarding house and a separate high school building.
