A brief history of the Parish:

In the year 1928 a group of 40 people from Hirenaganoor requested Fr. Michael Hilladay who was the priest at Mudgal to instruct them in Christian faith. The Christian presence at Naganoor existed since 1928. Naganoor was an independent mission unit with a resident priest Fr. Michael Hilladay in November 1941, who also looked after Hutti. The old Church was built and blessed by Bishop John F. Hogan OFM, on 1 July1951, when Fr. Anthony Puthenkalam was the parish priest. However, in the year 1960, it became a substation of Hutti Parish. Again, Bishop Ambrose P Yeddanapalli OFM, made Naganoor as a separate Parish on 26February 1986 with Fr. Lourdu Marianna as its parish priest. The Church was remodeled in 1999.  The present church was built by Fr. Paul Raj and was inaugurated by Archbishop Bernard Moras, the then Apostolic Administrator on 24 May 2007.
