Deaneries reorganized

BELLARY, JULY 22:  As per recommendation of the Council of Priests, Koppal District has been created as a new Deanery of the Diocese.

Koppal would  be the headquarters of the newly created Koppal Deanery of the Diocese. Gangavathi, Koppal,  Kushtagi and Munirabad parishes will belong to the dearnery.  Consequently, there would be five deaneries in the diocese.  They are Bellary, Hospet, Koppal, Lingasugur and Raichur.

The following are appointed Deans:

Rev. Fr. Charles D’Souza¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬† : Bellary Deanery

Rev. Fr. Y. S. Peter                        : Hospet Deanery

Rev. Fr. Joseph Thoppil, msfs        : Koppal Deanery

Rev. Fr. Lourdu Marianna              : Lingsugur Deanery

Rev. Fr. Vincent Rodrigues            : Raichur Deanery
