New School Building Opened At Mudgal

BELLARY, DEC 8, 2012 (Sagaya): Newly built Sacred Heart School building was blessed and opened at Mudgal in Raichur district by Bishop Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary.

In his message “Education should be empowering, liberating and transforming”.

“Education today should enable students capable of becoming achievers, with a capacity to live in harmony with others and foster all rounfd cooperation”, Bishop added.

ay should transform individuals by giving wisdom to minds, kindness to eyes, truth in words, love in hearts and service in hands”, Bishop stated.

Bishop also appreciated the hard work put in by the school manager Fr. Alphonse George and the school staff members.

Bishop lauded the sacrifice made and voluntary manual work rendered by the University students through Indo – Espoir Association of Paris, France.


ir is a voluntary organization led by Fathers Jerome Guingand SJ and Patrick Langue sj.

“Braving the heat and dust, the students did everything from carrying the stones, digging, assisting the masons and labourers and given a memorable gift to the people of Mudgal, Raichur district at large” stated by Father Alphonse George.

Secretary of Bellary Diocese Board of Education (BDBE) Father Arogyanathan said tha

t the historical place of Mudgal has an English Medium higher primary School to be proud of, which has 500 students already in its roll.


, Vicar General and former Parish Priest, Mudgal and founder of Sacred Heart School was remembered on the occasion.

The quality education imparted at Sacred Heart School was appreciated by Mr. Maha Muniappa, Educational Officer, Mudgal.

Fr. Vincent M.D, Mudgal parish priest and dean, Sister Valsa John, local superior, Mudgal  town Panchayat President Smt. Sharanamma, Member, Mr. Paulraj, Fr. Aloysius msfs, Koppal were the guests present with others at the occasion. T

he program was well attended by hundreds of parents and many priests and nuns of the diocese of Bellary.

The students of  Jnana Jyothi High School, K. Mariammanahalli conducted  an inter- religious service  while students of R.C. Mission, Mudgal welcomed the guests with a dance.

School manager Alphonse George, honoured and thanked all those special invitees, the architect, contractor and others.
