Home Minister to Inaugurate Symposium: Governance and Civil Society

28: Karnataka Home Minister Sri KJ George will inaugurate a symposium on Governance and Civil Society on Aug. 30 at Bellary.

The programme will be held at St. Anthony’s Community Centre, Bellary.

Eminent speakers such as Professor P. Satyanarayana Rao, chartered accountant S. Panna Raj, medical surgeon Dr. Khalid Muqueem and popular puppeteer Belagal Veeranna will make presentations on the subject. 

Home Minister KJ George will also unveil the foundation stone for NAVODAYA Community Centre and declare open the renovated premises of St. Anthony’s Community Center on the occasion. Bishop of Bellary Henry¬†D'Souza will preside over the function.

District Minister and Minister for Labour, Govt. of Karnataka Sri PT Parameshwara Naik and local members of Legislative Assembly, leading social activists, social workers and members of the public are expected to participate in the programme.

The program will be jointly organized by the United Christian Forum, Catholic Association, Kerala Cultural Association and the Rotary Club of Cantonment, Bellary. 

This symposium is an important event aimed at heightening the awareness of good governance and responsible citizenship.
