Renovated Church Re-dedicated at Jawalgera Church Farm

altJAWALGERA CHURCH FARM, AUGUST 02, 2014: Bishop Henry D’Souza blessed and inaugurated the newly renovated church building at Jawalgera Church Farm today evening.

The church building built about 20 years ago during the then Bishop Ambrose Yeddanapalli’s time was renovated under the leadership of the present parish priest Fr. Charles Sunder Raj. The Karnataka Christian Minority Council part financed the renovation work.

In his homily, recalling the words of St. Peter, Bishop urged the community to be “living stones to be built in to the church of God”.

He urged Christians to be a more serving and evangelizing community, through their holiness of live and life witnessing.

Bishop appreciated and thanked the Parish Priest Fr. Charles Sunder Raj for the initiative and hard work put in by him and the parish pastoral council.

Bishop D’Souza also lauded the change brought by the PP who is also the Director of the local training centre by imparting employment skills to the rural unemployed youth.

In his message, the former local MLA, Sri Venkataramana Nade Gowda appreciated the good work done at the centre and assured his cooperation to the community.

All those who attended the celebration were treated with a sumptuous meal.
