MMMP Dhama Students Awarded Certificates

BELLARY, SEP 30: “Empowering rural¬† youth with¬† skills¬† and enabling them to be employable will contribute immensely for nation building”, declared Bishop Henry D’Souza here at Mathe Maria Mahila Pragathi Dhama (MMMPD), Bellary today.

“The rural and backward should helped to acquire technical skills and be imbued with values such as hard work, honesty and self esteem in order to make them agents of social transformation” affirmed Bishop while addressing the participants at the Certificate awarding function held at MMMP Dhama in Bellary.

The basic computer certificate course and garment making courses are being conducted for rural unemployed young women at the MMMP Dhama of the Bellary Diocese.  

It is a six months   course run by the local Govt. Polytechnic totally free of cost for the poor unemployed youth. It is a part of the Union Govt. programme for skilling India.

The initiative is a joint venture of Govt. Polytechnic under its Community Development Scheme and MMMP Dhama, supported by the Ministry of Rural Devt., Government of India.

40 rural youth participated in the training programme, which ensures employment for the candidates. 

The participants of the training program shared their experience during course.

Smt. Nazima Begum, Principal of Govt. Polytechnic and Coordinator of Community Devt. Tech programme urged the participants “to avail the Govt. programs to develop their skills and prepare themselves to be employed in industries and production units”.

Director of MMMPDhama, Miss Sugnatha Sathiyaraj thanked all those present.
