BENGALURU, AUG. 19: The Diocese of Ballari salutes the champion of inter-religious dialogue and ecumenism Fr. Ronnie Prabhu of the Society of Jesus who passed away today in Bangalore.

Fr. Ronnie Prabhu during his tenure as Provincial of Karnataka Region initiated  Pannur- Manvi Jesuit Mission  in 1998 at Jagir Pannur and Manvi areas.

Today Jesuits at Jagir Pannur –Manvi Mission, besides providing pastoral care, run two English Medium Schools, a PU and Degree College for the underprivileged in Raichur District. Today over 2000 students are being educated in Loyala Institutions at Manvi – Pannur. They also run a dispensary at Jagir Pannur. Fr. Ronnie was the force behind it.
