Newly Built School Building of Mount Carmel School Inaugurated

GURUGUNTA, AUG 14, 2017:Newly built Mount Carmel School, Gurugunta was declared open by Member of Legislative Council, Lingasugur Constituency, Sri Manappa D Vajjal  Aug. 14,2017 at Gurugunta, Lingasugur Taluk  in Raichur district.

Bishop of Bellary Henry D’Souza blessed the building. In his message Bishop D’Souza  said“Catholic Diocese of Bellary through BDBE is committed to impart education to this most backward area of Gurugunta and surrounding villages”.

It is to be noted here that Fr.Sunderraj is the pioneer in establishing this New Educational Mission at Gurugunta in 2012.

The Diocese of Bellary is ever grateful for the donation of Manos Unidas, Spain  for the construction of the School building at Gurugunta. It is one of the most backward areas of Karnataka.

Sri Guru Gajantha Shivayogi, Sr. Ismail Moulain, and other community leaders, Fr. Paulraj, VG, Fr.Vincent M.D, Secretary BDBE, Fr. Sam Nalan, Diocesan Financial Administrator  along with many priests, nuns and dignitaries were present at the occasion.

The hard work of Fr Yagappa, present Manager and the Staff of Gurugunta School is appreciated by one and all.

Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny who carryout social developmental works at Gurugunta since 1993 involve themselves in the educational ministry at Mount Carmel School.
