Yuvojanotsava Held in Bellary; Youth Joyfully Committed to be Agents of Good News

BELLARY, OCT 19-22: Over 300 youth enthusiastically participated in the Diocesan Youth Convention held on Oct.19-22, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Community Centre, Cantonment Bellary. It was well represented from the three district of Bellary diocese namely Bellary, Raichur and Koppal districts.

At the inauguration of the four days youth festival Bishop Henry D Souza, Bishop of Bellary and National and Karnataka regional Youth Chairman enlightened the youth to fearlessly declare their faith in God and to take leadership roles in the Church and society.



Sri. Venketaramana, Mayor of Bellary City Corporation at the occasion urged the youth of Bellary to make use of their youthful energy at the service of the society.


The  convention was well animated by Fr. Arogyanathan, Sirwar ,Mrs. Gayathri, DSP, Ballari, Fr. Mari Joseph, former KRCBC Youth Commission Secretary, Prolife promoter, Mrs. Manjula Joy, Fr. Anil D’ Sa, KRCBC Regional Youth Director, Mr. Nasir, Secretary Congress Youth Wing ,Fr. Deepak OCD, The CBCI National Youth Director.


At the occasion Mr. Harry D’Souza, Bangalore spoke about various schemes available through Christian Development Council, Govt. of Karnataka and urged all those present to make use of it.


Well known Jesus Youth team Mr. Sijo and team made the session vibrant.


The Youth Convention was successfully organised by Fr.Prem Kumar D’Souza, Secretary Diocesan Youth Commission and his team Mr. Augustine, Diocesan ICYM Youth president , Sr.Lilly FS, ICYM ,Diocesan Lady Animator, Mr. Dass, Diocesan ICYM  Chairman and other youth leaders.

Donors and sponsors of the youth convention were gratefully recalled at the occasion.
