05 July: Sacred Heart Church-Fort- Ballari
The Cross was brought in procession from the city parish by the youth and was handed over to the youth of Fort Parish. Both the youth and the Parish priest received the Cross and it was taken to the Church in procession. Followed by the Eucharistic celebration presided by Rev. Dr. Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Ballari. During his homily the Bishop briefed the people about the history of this National Youth Convention Cross. Besides, he also highlighted the meaning of the Cross in the life of everyone who wishes to follow Jesus. People and the youth, spent the night in prayer. Large number of people gathered in the Church to pray for the success of the international youth convention as well as the National Youth Convention.
