7 August: Arogiyamathe Shrine- Ballari
One day retreat for the youth of the city of Ballari was organised by Fr. Y. S. Peter, the dean and Fr. Yesu OFM together with Fr.Gnanam T, the rector of the shrine. The days programme was animated by Mr. Joseph from Pota. Over 150 youth boys and Girls attended. Fr. John Peter, DYD was also with them through the day. The retreat began at 9.30 a. m, Mr. Joseph helped the youth to be aware of the present challenges and move ahead in their lives focusing on Jesus and encouraged them to be witness for the values of the Gospel. After the lunch break, the participants were motivated and animated for reconciliation service. Many of them made confession. The day was concluded by the Eucharistic Celebration. Bishop Henry D’Souza, the bishop of Ballari celebrated the mass along with the other concelebrants.
