Diocesan convention of Friends of Jesus held

Eighty three persons from various parishes in the diocese participated in one day conference organised by the Diocesan Commission for Evangelization.

The day’s animation began at 9.30 a. m at Bishop’s House, Bellary.

The program begun with “Praise and Worship” animated by Fr. Jose Prakash, Secretary, Diocesan Proclamation Commission.

Bishop Henry D’ Souza, Bishop of Bellary animated the session on, Called to be Fiends of Jesus”.

This conference is aimed at exploring possibilities to reach out Friends of Jesus.

During their sharing the Participants - Friends of Jesus came forward to share their faith experience through their own life witness, prayer meetings, counselling people in need, interfaith sharing, thus building harmony in their communities, work places, etc.

Fr. Francis Chinnappa, Deputy Secretary of the Commission welcomed everyone gathered.

Mr. Joseph Y. the chair person of the commission thanked the participants.

Fr. Alphonse George, Rector, Minor Seminary made all the necessary arrangements for the conference.

The day’s program concluded with fellowship meal.
