PMI Bellary Unit conducted Medical Camp in Bellary Central Jail:

BELLARY, FEB. 21, 2025:

Prison Ministry of India, Ballari Unit organized a Medical Camp in the Bellary Central Jail on February 21st, 2025. The camp was a joint venture of PMI Bellary Unit, Diocesan Health commission and a medical team consisting of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who have philanthropic interest.

The medical camp started at 10.30 a.m. About 168 inmates of the jail benefitted from the medical camp. They had health checkup, treatments and medicines distributed free of cost.

In solidarity with the brothers and sisters in distressed at the prison, the PMI Ballari unit regularly visits showing the face of the merciful Lord.

The team was led by Fr. Ivan Pinto, Fr Nelson Menezes PRO, Sr Lourdmary, Chairperson PMI Ballari Unit, Sr Shanty RGS, Sr Justina SJC , Jt Sec. PMI B , Sr. Viola FHIC , (Sec Health Comm) , Sr. Celine FHIC, Director , Sr Josephine FHIC, Sr Shobha, Ms Virusi ,Prabhavathi and Anitha.

The renowned Doctors namely Drs. Salomi, Deepak Bille and Prajwal assisted the team. They also advocated preventive health care measures like personal and environmental hygiene on that occasion.

While addressing, Fr. Ivan Pinto said “Service to humanity is service to God. This attitude helps to lead our lives to live in peace and harmony” He thanked the Jail Superintendent and his co-workers for their willing cooperation.
