Diocesan Phase Of Investigation For The Cause Of SoG FX Kroot Closed



The diocesan phase of investigation of the life, the works and the virtues of the Servant of God Msgr. Francis Xavier Kroot, MHM, was solemnly closed on Sunday, July 7, 20019, in Bellary.

The ceremony was held in the St. Anthony's Cathedral during the thanksgiving Mass, presided over by Bishop Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary. Msgr. Francis Xavier Kroot, MHM, lived a holy life and gave himself totally to God and to the poor people. He did outstanding missionary work in Bellary, Southern Andhra Pradesh and Madras Archdiocese. He served as a Military Chaplain, residing at the Assumption Church and proving pastoral care the Catholic community of Bellary. Moved by the plight of women, he founded the Congregation of Fatima Sisters for the education and social uplift of women.

Msgr. FX Kroot, MHM, lived a holy life and gave himself totally to God and to the poor people. He did outstanding missionary work in Bellary, Southern Andhra Pradesh and Madras Archdiocese. While serving in Madras, he took ill and had to return to France for treatment, where he died young. His relics are now interred in Pune. His life was truly impressive and inspiring.

The investigation process was a veritable opportunity to learn and be inspired by the noble life and exemplary life of SoG FX Kroot. We thank Fr. Lourdsamy T. the Postulator for his dedicated work, the Fatima Sisters for the total support and cooperation and all those who collaborated with the investigation. Let us continue to pray that that the promotion of the cause which now moves to Rome, may lead to the early raising of the SoG FX Kroot to the honours of the Altar!
