A brief history of the parish :
The Diocese, keeping in mind the possibility for evangelization purchased five acres land in 2010 with permission from the Koppal D.C. Divine Mercy Parish was established on 30November 2014, dividing it from Infant Jesus Parish, Gangavathi with Fr.P.Anthony Raj as first parish priest. He resided in a rented house. Divine Mercy Guru Nivas was built at the initiative of Fr.Antony Raj P. and blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souza on 6 Nov. 2016.
