A brief history of the parish :
Infant Jesus School was started in the year 1990-91 by Fr. Anthony Puthenkalam. His successor, Fr. Sebastian Kulathinal started primary school building work. It was completed by Fr. Bhagavanthraj.He also constructed the High School building, P.U.C. Block and Conference Hall. Fr.Arockiamstarted a D.Ed. College. Later, the Vidyanagar parish was carved from Raichur, St. Francis Xavier parish, in May 2006 by the then Bishop Joseph D'Silva, with Fr. Thomas Michael as the first parish priest. The process of erection of the parish was completed by Bishop Henry D'Souza in 2009. Fr. Thomas Michael started the Bala Yesu CBSE English Medium School. Fr. Jaya Raj Putti extended the Bala Yesu School buiding and built the dining hall block for students, which was blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souza on 5 Jannuary 2017. The first Diocesan Degree College was started when Fr. Robert Paul was the Manager and inaugurated by Bishop Henry D'Souza on 16 June 2015. The Infant Jesus Girls' Hostel built by the diocese was blessed by Bishop on 6 September 2017. Presently, Fr. Arulaiah is completing the church building started by Fr. Lourd Marianna.
