A brief history of the parish :
Sindhanur is one of the main urban centres in Raichur Dt. It was a substation of Jawalgera Parish until 1984. Knowing the importance of the place for the further expansion and evangelization, Bishop Ambrose P. Yeddanapalli, ofm, purchased 3 acres of land and started Catechist training centre called"Christashrama" in 1982 and created it as Parish in 1984. As the Christian community increased, ,the church was constructed and blessed by Bishop Ambrose P. Yaddanapalli ofm in 1990 and dedicated it to the Holy Family. In view of improving the literacy of the local children,Holy Family School was started by Fr. Antonyraj Pin 1991.The boarding block was started by Fr. Mark Gonsalves and completed by Fr. PJ Irudayaraj and Blessed by Bishop Henry D'Souza.
