A brief history of the parish :
Siruguppa was a sub-station of the Cathedral parish since 1968. It is a taluk headquarters of Siruguppa taluk. There are many Telugu camps around Siruguppa and sveral belivers.In 1975, Fr. Inniah K. took up residence as the priest in-charge. With the coming of the JMJ Sistersto Siruguppa,the mission was officially inaugurated by Bishop Ambrose P. Yeddanapalli ofm. Later, on 22May 1977, Siruguppa with its sub-stations was entrusted to the Franciscan Friars (OFM) of Bangalore Province. The first team comprised of Fr. Sebastian Varghese ofm and Fr. Dayanand ofm. The building of the church and presbytery begun by Fr. Inniah K. was completed by Br.Francis Serra ofm. The Franciscan Fathers handed over the parish to the diocese at the end of 1985. The renovation of the present church which was initiated by Fr.M.D.Vincentwith help of Govt.grant is being implemented by Fr. Sunder Raj.
