Christmas Celebration Was Held in Bellary Central Jail

BELLARY, DEC. 20, 2018: A Christmas celebration was held in the Bellary Central jail on December 20, organized by the Diocesan Prison Ministry Team led by Fr. Ponnuswamy. for about 550 inmates of the jail attended the celebration. Children from Navajeevana Kendra for physically challenged children presented Christmas skit and songs. Students of Vijayamary School, Siruguppa presented dance and songs on Christmas. In his Christmas message, Bishop Henry D’Souza stated, "At Christmas God re-established loving relationship with humanity and urged humanity to live in peace and harmony". "Jesus born at Christmas, taught to love, to forgive and to serve. He brought about a culture of cooperation and community living. He taught humanity to go the right way!" Bishop thanked the Jail Superintendent and his co-workers for their wiling cooperation.
